India is a country incredibly rich with stories. My ideas and enthusiasm for projects grows with each of my journeys. In addition to the book I’m writing on the topic of femicide, I also write on other random social issues.
One of the projects that I have brewing is a photo book on sadus (holy men). While living in Varanasi in the Spring of ‘07, I spent six weeks in the company of sadhus, or babas as they are often called. My time with them was both fascinating and illuminating, something that I’d like to share in pictures.
